Dr Amira Dkeidek

Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Amira is a consultant obstetrician gynaecologist with expertise and additional training in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology (PAG), seeing patients from infancy through to the post-menopausal years.

Having completed a fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Amira manages a range of PAG conditions and is currently a consultant gynaecologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital. 

Amira also holds a public appointment at Box Hill Hospital, where she is the clinical lead in the Early Pregnancy Assessment Service, and is a proud member of the busy O&G team.

Amira obtained her medical qualification from the University of Melbourne in 2010, then completed her training in obstetrics and gynaecology across various sites in Victoria and Queensland. 

As a general gynaecologist, Amira performs a variety of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and vaginal surgery. 

Her areas of interest include PCOS and other menstrual disturbances, Differences of Sexual Development (DSDs), contraception counselling, management of prolapse, ovarian cysts and fibroids, and investigation and treatment of cervical dysplasia. 

Amira can conduct consultations in Arabic where requested.
